Boxing fan, father to an amazing son, former husband to an ex wife. And he will have his vegetables, in this life or the next. Neil Gaskin is a co-founder of & can be found bringing pretty much every subject back to Sylvester Stallone as a regular co-host on the Film 89 Podcast. A traditional man in many ways, he believes it’s not really Christmas Eve until he’s watching Die Hard & plans on leading the resistance against Skynet. A child of the Video Store revolution and a disciple of Rocky Balboa. He’s still got a little left in the basement and fully intends to crash into the next life yelling “Yippee ki-yay”

Borrowing the introduction to Goodfellas, ever since I could remember, I always wanted to be a boxer. As a kid growing up boxing was the centerpiece of family gatherings, along with pernil, rice, beans, and Budweiser’s. There were two compelling moments in my childhood that propelled me to be a fan for life of this brutal sport. I remember it was my “birthday party” and I was sitting on the sofa (covered in plastic because god forbid the sofa ever got dirty) watching “Tito” Trinidad vs. Maurice Blocker. I saw Trinidad dismantle Maurice Blocker to win the IBF belt and I never looked back (Tito Forever!) The other moment was when Mike Tyson fought Buster Douglas.  My family rented out a hall for a wedding reception when the word spread like wildfire that Mike Tyson might actually lose. Somehow, somebody showed up with a television set and the whole party exited the reception into the lobby. Can you imagine? Puerto Ricans actually leaving a party? Insane right, but it happened and I snuck up under the crowd and looked up as Mike Tyson tried his best to put his mouthpiece in backwards. A moment I will never forget. Blake here with Unbiased Boxing, I've been around the sport of boxing my whole life, watching amateurs and pro bouts with my father who has over 20 years of boxing coaching and corner experience. I've always had a love of combat sports and martial arts. My mission statement for starting Unbiased boxing " name subject to change" was to bring a more two sided look into fights and present an honest assessment. It's almost impossible to keep out bias and emotion entirely but the goal is to aim as unbiased as possible. Follow me on Twitter @BoxingUnbiased

Boxing fan living in Mexico City home of Mexican greats and 2 of my alltime favorites Juan Manuel Marquez, and Marco Antonio Barrera. I grew up in the San Fernando Valley, CA, watching Chavez Sr, Vargas, and De La Hoyas fights while spending family quality time. The fight that made me a hardcore boxing fan was Barrera-Morales 1, after that there was no turning back for me. Family, boxing and grilling is what I do. My favorite active boxers are Juan Manuel Marquez, Vasyl Lomachenko and "The Krusher" Sergey Kovalev, I truly enjoy the sport of boxing and like to tweet and write about it. I've been a fan of the sweet science for a good while. I had to be about 12 to 14 years old when I first seen the Fabulous Four: Sugar Ray Leonard, Duran, Hearns & Hagler. I'm not gonna lie & say that I remember those fights to a tee. But I do remember being with my pops watching those fights and going to the local events at a young age. I really didn't get into boxing till the early 90's when Tyson was The Baddest Man in the Planet. And when De La Hoya demolished Chavez in 4. So, I've been following boxing for a good while. I'm an inspiring graphic designer, I'm an artist, a decent one at that. "I'm not a photographer" but I take photos at some of these boxing events that happen here in my city of San Antonio for realtalkboxing. I can be followed on Twitter & Instagram under the same handle @SweetScience_ . In the famous words of Mills Lane " Let's get it on!!!"

Fight fan from the UK, Liverpool.
Some of my favourite fighters of all time include: Mike Tyson, Roberto Duran, Marco Antonio Barrera, Manny Pacquiao & Jack Johnson
My first memories of boxing were always vague. Struggling to stay awake with my Dad and uncle for the fights across the pond in the U.S
Mike Tyson was my favorite growing up as I loved to see him demolishing fighters easily inside the distance. I remember plenty of other fighters but Prince Naseem sticks out a lot. I absolutely hated him, not 100% sure why but I think it was his arrogance and cockiness (Although Naz backed it up) The one fight that truly got me hooked to boxing was when Marco Antonio Barrera gave Naz a boxing lesson. This made me a huge Barrera fan (Most people I meet are Morales over Barerra). No doubt there are plenty of great fights before this but that will always be one of my fondest memories of boxing growing up. Looking forward to interacting with other avid fight fans.
